LSL Acad HPI

LSL Property Services/Acadametrics E&W House Price Index and the LSL Property Services/Acadametrics Scotland House Price Index are the only UK house price indices based upon every residential property transaction in England, Wales and Scotland and are designed to provide a “true measure of house price inflation”. As FTHPI, LSL Acad E&W HPI was chosen by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the world's largest derivative exchange, for their proposed residential house price derivative which we expect will be launched in due course. Our unique test as to whether indices provide a “true measure” is explained in our “Index Monitor” paper.

The series of downloadable documents provided below includes our latest news release and full historic data series. The significant differences which can arise between indices for England & Wales are particularly in evidence in the results this year, and are examined in our monthly Comparison of Indices below.

A history of our England and Wales index is provided in "Why an LSL Acad E&W HPI?".

LSL Acad E&W HPI was launched in September 2003 under the name FTHPI; it is now released by Acadametrics for publication on the second Friday of every month.
